The URI reference http://www.cgmopen.org/schema/webcgm/ identifies the XML namespace defined in the WebCGM 2.1 and WebCGM 2.0 specifications. Future profile editions of WebCGM, if any, may also use this namespace.
WebCGM 2.1 and WebCGM 2.0 before it represent collaborations of OASIS and W3C. On 01 March 2010, OASIS and W3C simultaneously published WebCGM 2.1 as both an OASIS Standard and a W3C Recommendation. The two versions are identical in all technical aspects, and differ only in the format and presentation styles of the respective organizations. WebCGM 2.1 extends and updates WebCGM 2.0, which was similarly simultaneously published as both the WebCGM 2.0 OASIS Standard and the WebCGM 2.0 W3C Recommendation.
