• WebCGM 2.1 Committee Specification is approved, the Memorandum of Understanding with W3C is extended, and collaborative work begins in its WebCGM Working Group (7/2008).
• WebCGM TC processes feedback from 60-day First CD review, modifies WebCGM 2.1 text (see Change Log) and approves Second Committee Draft for 15-day public review (6/2008).
• WebCGM TC publishes WebCGM 2.1 Committee Draft and starts 60-day public review period, per resolutions voted at March 27th teleconference (3/2008).

2007

• OASIS WebCGM TC completes and endorses a set of WebCGM 2.1 requirements for the proposed WebCGM 2.1 project (12/2007).
• OASIS CGM Open WebCGM TC refines requirements for potential WebCGM 2.1 project at Seattle face-to-face meeting (8/2007).
• W3C and OASIS Jointly Issue New Web Standard for Industrial Graphics. Cooperation brings broad expertise to WebCGM 2.0.

2006

• OASIS's WebCGM TC publishes (10/2006) the first full release of the WebCGM 2.0 Test Suite, initiates public review of revised WebCGM 2.0 specification.
• A new W3C Working Group (5/2006) advances WebCGM 2.0 forward to W3C Proposed Recommendation status (10/2006), triggering resumption of final processing in OASIS.

2005

• Based on an OASIS-W3C Memorandum of Understanding (12/2005) for simultaneous standardization, OASIS submits the WebCGM specification to start W3C processing.
• The WebCGM TC approved and published the WebCGM 2.0 Committee Specification (11/2005), following intensive technical development that included a second Committee Draft and public review.
• WebCGM TC publishes WebCGM 2.0 Committee Draft and initiates public review period, per resolutions voted at its Munich face-to-face meeting (3/2005).

2004

• Feature freeze on non-DOM WebCGM 2.0 functional upgrades, closure of new DOM and related issues, reached at Houston face-to-face of OASIS CGM Open WebCGM TC (11/2004).
• CGM Open WebCGM TC reaches "feature-freeze" for WebCGM 2.0 DOM, begins vendor trial implementations (8/2004).
• OASIS Forms CGM Open Member Section to Advance WebCGM Graphics Standard
• Revised and updated WebCGM-SVG study for technical graphics application published and presented at XML Europe 2004.
• CGM Open member telecon prioritizes and restarts CGMO technical program, pending integration as OASIS technical committee (3/2004).
